Kinda freaking out abt Hirevue

Saw JPM came out and saw that people already received Hirevues:

  1. Are there any drawbacks to waiting a couple days to submit the application? Do people who submit earlier get priority? Wondering as I wanna do some more prep before hirevues.

  2. If you apply now and receive a hirevue, do you need to complete it right away?

  3. Are there technical questions on the hirevue? If so, are they hard? Which should I prep for?

You have usually 1-2 weeks time to complete the hirevue. I would say, the earlier the better for both submitting the application and completing the hirevue. There are dozens of other talented students who will do it right away, so JPM is not going to wait for you to complete it.

There are usually more personal/behavioural questions in the video assessment part of the HV („tell me about a time where you had problems working in a team“) but there might be some easy or generic technical questions („how would you value a company“ / „which recent transaction in the market did you find interesting and why“). In general, HV‘s are rather easy and I wouldn‘t waste too much time prepping, rather complete them asap
