Lateral Recruiting Advice
Hey guys,
If anyone could provide some input on the following questions that would be great. Looking to lateral from a MM IB to a BB/EB.
Do you recommend reaching out to bankers strictly through email (and not LinkedIn)? If so, what's the best way to get a correct email address?
Have people found success in the lateral recruiting process by working with headhunters? Or is it mainly from leveraging your network/surveying job boards?
Are interviews mainly geared towards your banking/deal experience rather than technical questions? How do you think I should structure my limited free time to ensure that I'm best prepared for the interview process?
Any tips/anecdotes on the lateral recruiting process would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks.
For #1, find the email format on WSO or Google, then plug in the banker's name. MailTester is generally good for verifying the email.
When should you start the networking process for lateral recruiting?
How hard is it to move from a MMIB shop to a BB/EB in general?
