Lateraling back

Hi guys!

I am interning in a non-ib position in a big bank this summer (MS/JPM/GS). Next summer, I will be interning in a "lower tier" bank in IB. I am hoping to come back to my old bank as IB. I hope to get placed at the top group at my bank for next summer and lateral back to a different bank. Any advice on group placement and the lateralling back process while maintaining good relations w my current team. I really love my current bank, I just want IB,

Sidenote: I screwed up recruiting by only focusing to EBs and screwing up my interviews. I aced the technicals but I stuttered so much and made a fool of myself. The analysts and other people at the firm were lowk shocked that I didn't make it past r1 bc its outsourced to dartmouth lol. Any advice on how to not screw up something because of nerves?
