Leveraging Back Office Connections
My Father is well connected in the IB field, however, they all his connections are executives in the finance departments of BB and EB firms. How can I utilize these connections to land IB internships?
I am a Sophomore student at a Canadian target school so I am mainly looking for advice pertaining to SA 2020 recruitment.
You probably can’t. As a senior IB banker you have little to no interaction with back office. The extent of my contact was mainly as an analyst. Ask him if it knows anyone. If not it still may be beneficial just given he is employed at the firm.
Even if some of them are at the CFO level?
There’s very little to no connection between senior levels in front vs back office. Also CFO level means very little because I don’t even know what that means
