Leveraging offer from Company B to switch positions within Company A
I am unhappy in my position at Company A (one of the large investment banks), but have only been there for about 6 month and believe that if I submit an internal application for a different position within the firm it will be automatically rejected (the policy is that you can move after a year or a year and a half).
I have a job offer from Company B for a position that I am interested in. Is there any way for me to leverage that offer to help trigger a move within Company A?
