LIE about needing SPONSORSHIP for RECRUITING as INTERNATIONAL???

Hello,

I am incoming freshman international hispanic male diversity at target. Thinking about internships for freshman summer and curious about the need to mention my need for requirement for CPT approval or something like that. Since I dont plan on coming back to them after that, should I even mention it int he first place. It's already so competitive - I would like to avoid getting dinged for it straight away? How does everything work. I believe I need to get CTP with my F1 for this? If I shouldn't lie - then how do I go about maximising this? Just any advice for finding summer internships in US in freshman summer as international would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Thanks for reading.

Don’t tell them until they ask. Get all your CPT documentations in place. You essentially just need to fill in a I9 form on the first day.

If the summer internship does not entail a full time return offer, where they would actually need to pay money to sponsor you (H1B), your international status doesn’t rly matter at all. Maybe a bit of paperwork/email or two between your school and HR, but thats about it. Dont mention it if they dont ask first, but lying is always a bad choice. Maybe explain that CPT isnt rly a hassle.
