Looking for guidance on potential experience w a smaller tech company

Hey Guys,

I want to get some input on this. I am still playing professional baseball and will have a around six months for an offseason. During this time I would like to do something to add to my resume so I have something other than baseball as experience on my resume.

I may have an opportunity at a tech company, it was started around 5 years ago, but the CEO was named to the forbes 30 under 30 in the past, and they were listed as one of NY fastest growing companies, and they also have offices in other locations, one being in CA. I would potentially have an opportunity to work as an intern for a few months working with the CFO and the Vice President Corporate Development & Strategy. I know that they may be raising capital again soon as well.

What are everyone's thoughts on the opportunity. Looking into a MSF after baseball season next year. Ultimate goal is IB if possible after MSF, then down the line PE/HF. I didnt know if i was to get this opportunity with the company and gain some valuable experience there, that it would be a benefit for me for any IB roles, or any PE/HF roles down the line later in career.

Thanks in advance for everyone's input, I appreciate it!

You didn't really say what you would be doing in the role, but I think it'll be beneficial. As you probably already know IB loves athletes and this would be a good way to show your interest in finance as well
