Lunch interview

Hi there,

I have a final round next week - two case studies / into / followed by a lunch. anyone have any tips to navigate the lunch section? its a fixed income trading house (sales role), I drink ofc but don't wanna drink in an interview setting in case it may offend but also don't wanna look like someone who can't entertain clients if I don't drink etc

I’ve had drinks in interviews and have gotten the job. Usually they order a drink first and then if you want one you could get the same or a drink of your choice. If they order first and get water or something else, don’t order a drink.

Of course, I was exaggerating - it is completely possible to get a job doing that.

My point was rather it probably becomes harder to maintain a serious profile, running the risk of becoming too comfortable etc. (especially as someone inexperienced) & further, whether you drink or not isn't exactly a make or break variable in the interview.
