Miserably failed a class and didn't achieve 2:1 - is my FT offer cooked?
Hello monkes, messed up a bunch of tests on the last year of my master's because life happened (no not party rocking, although I wish). I have a FT offer to join a BB/EB in M&A, but am scared that once they do background check they'll ding me for my grades.
Do they actually care about the 2:1 ranking? Does it help if I dominated my bachelor's and messed up my master's or they don't care?
Thank you and godspeed
Most likely cooked but there’s been cases of people being let through regardless. V much a case by case thing
I don’t Even remember it being listed as a requirement during application process - do you think it is always implicitly required?
Had a return from a BB that explicitly stated a 2:1 in the contract. Have friends that haven’t had the grade req but have been told they’d lose the full time if they didn’t get a 2:1. Outside of this I don’t know
Can confirm my contract stated the same
Think if you do a master the 2:1 requirement applies to the bachelor only
Pls someone confirm
For those outside of UK, what is the 2:1 equivalent ?
3.5/4 cumulative GPA?
B?
16/20?
3.3-3.9 GPA. Astonishing how a 3.3 can't be reached
