Missed this past recruiting season. Where do I go from here?

Hello all, I'm currently a senior Econ major expected to graduate from an Ivy League in May 2021. I've been on a relatively decent path until now: 3.4 GPA and a few internships under my belt, spending this past junior year summer as an S&T SA for a mid-tier BB. However, I unfortunately did not get a return offer and, due to personal things I had to deal with, missed out on the fall recruitment season. Now, I feel lost as to where the hell I should go from here. I feel like I missed the train for most things and there aren't as many jobs around now given the current environment. How can I from here on out best position myself for full time recruitment, and given my experience what paths within finance would I even have a shot at breaking into at this point? Other things to note:

  • I am also open to consulting as well

  • Ideally would want to be in NYC

  • I was considering doing a 1 year MPS in Management at the same school to give myself another year to re-recruit, potentially in a better job market

Thank you!

Your best bet is probably finding someone in your alumni network.
