Need advice please: Senior, non-target, SA offer

Okay, so my last post was regarding applying for a SA as a senior who had a rough time during FT recruiting. (I created a new name to disguise my identity)

I received the offer for an SA position and am wondering what you guys think about accepting it. Is it foolish for a senior to accept an SA offer?

I am going to keep trying for FT opps. but am considering accepting this offer.

Also, does accepting an SA require I go back to school in the fall?

I appreciate the advice...

How did you even receive the SA offer?

If you told them the truth during interviews, then they don't care.

If not, then tell them right now, because they don't like liars.

I have heard of seniors who accepted SA offers and ended up taking work right at the end of their internship. A lot of that depends on the firm's need, but it has happened before. As long as you are upfront with them about your situation, there shouldn't be too many issues.

If you do keep looking for FT offers, be prepared to know that the firm you took the SA spot at may be out in terms of future employment because you snubbed them and also took a spot that they could have filled with someone else.

I'm in a somewhat identical situation (4th year, nontarget, shooting for sa), except I have not even had a 1st round phone interview yet. That should make you feel better.
