Need serious advice - S&T

To make a long story short. I have a friend(American from NYC)who is an international airline pilot for a major carrier in the middle east(Emirates). He is very well compensated for what he does($200,000 pr yr mostly tax-free). Co-Pilot on widebody Airbus aircraft. Flies all around the globe. On the most part has reached the pinnacle of his career at the age of 30. Now he wants to move into IBanking or S&T. He has a BA in General Studies from a state university. GPA 3.5. QUESTION; How difficult/easy would it be for him to land a S&T analyst position at a BB or other top firm given his background? He loves the markets so I think he would like S&T more than IBanking. Good feedback much appreciated.

Think near impossible with current credentials due to it being totally unrelated to the banking field. Agree with transatlantic. An MBA or masters in finance would be the way to go as he has NO finance background

Most analyst programs from my understanding require you to be a recent graduate which your friend is not. As such, he would have to enter either as an associate (requires MBA) or as a direct hire into a specific function (which would most likely require some form of finance)... maybe other more experienced people on this board could give better/more insightful advice

Total bullshit. It's not possible to get a 724 on the GMAT. If you want to lie, at least make your lies believable.

I think the cutoff for most good schools is 729.3866321.. so He would be on the fringe.

This guy is attempting to make a horrible trade, why would a trading desk want him?

I agree with you Jimbo, I think if I were an Airline Pilot making a couple hundred grand a year, I would never leave it for a Banking job, especially nowadays. Its like a paid vacation.
