Need Summer 2021 Internship Advice

I am a current sophomore at a non-target school with a 3.6 GPA and a decent resumé. I have no internship experience up until this point but am in the interview process for financial advising/insurance companies for Summer 2020. However, I am unsure if these programs will be kept open for the summer, and even if I do get offers, the companies are not at the level I was hoping for. I initially thought I wanted to go into PWM, but I don't think I would thrive in an environment where I need to build my clientele rapidly in order to succeed. Therefore, I think that Asset Management is the route I want to take. I also am considering applying to IBs but don't think I stand much of a chance. What are some things I can do to secure a great internship for next summer, 2021, and position myself to succeed?
