Networking with someone at BB that works in a different sector than your career goal?

I have a networking video call with a VP that works at JP Morgan, while Im stoked to even get a response Im not sure if he will get the right impression or would be insulted as my career goal is more in high finance/banking instead of tech like he is. Any advice for this situation? Should I not be doing this again on future occasions? I just figured since he has a similar school background as mine, I could learn a lot from him even though he is in a different sector. How should I approach this? Overall Im interested in learning overall how bank works from an inside source, so I could possibly divert it to that, last thing I want to do is make him feel insulted and that Im not interested in his field.
