New Career Advice

I graduated in 2008 with a Finance degree and have half of my MBA completed but my current employer put a freeze on education reimbursement so I can't finish it just yet. I worked for WF Financial for half a year and it was cold calling and I completely hated it. For the last 2 years I've been a Financial Analyst for a Logistics company, definitely not the reason why I chose Finance as a major in college. The pay is garbage and my boss (the facility manager) rides my ass all the time when he doesn't know dick about Finance.

I live in Joliet, IL, a suburb of Chicago, and I want to know where is the best place I could start a career in this industry without having a solid internship like most people on here. I took a few classes on trading futures and options and also learning about derivatives in college and that's what I enjoy. I wish I could crunch numbers all day while trading but I don't care much for the sales side of things, pitching books to clients, that sort of thing. If I could do it all over again I would have chosen Acturial Science or straight Math but I have too many bills and a wife to go back to school full time.

My dream was to get to the CBOE or CBOT and the reason why I chose Finance but without knowing anyone downtown, that dream is far fetched now. Please tell me what route you thing I should head in and if you live(d) in or around Chicago then tell me some top places I should start researching and looking for jobs.
