No internship junior summer

I’m a coming senior at a non-target school (top 60 bschool) graduating in May 2020. My dream would be to get a job in an FLDP once graduated. I am graduating with a double major in Finance and Accounting expecting to have a high GPA (3.9-4.0) My problem is I have almost no relevant work experience. I had an internship at a small business in my hometown freshman summer working with A/P and doing other miscellaneous projects. I studied abroad sophmore summer (on a business abroad trip) leaving no opportunity for an internship. This summer I have no internship. I had an internship lined up as a finance and accounting intern with a local company (not ideal, hoped to get an F500 internship), but they pulled their offer early June claiming they had a problem approving it with HR. This leaves me with a problematic situation this summer.

I am trying my best to do something to advance my career prospects this summer. I’m planning to take some financial modeling courses through Wall Street Prep. This fall I’ll be working part time with local firm near my university as an accounting intern. I plan on taking 2 CPA section exams (BEC and FAR) in January 2020, before my graduation in May (I am able to sit for the exam with 120 hrs).

Is it possible/do you have any tips to enter into FLDP programs without internship experience? Any advice as to what companies look at that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
