No Return Offer - PE Recruiting
I did not receive a FT return offer to my junior summer firm, but I re-recruited and landed a comparable offer. During the on-cycle PE recruiting process, how should I disclose this information if head hunters/PE firms ask? Is it likely that they ask (they'll see my resume has two firms).
Recruiters and firms will likely ask, typically as part of the "walk me through your resume" section of the interview. I'd be prepared with a coherent answer and recognize that some PE firms may also backchannel with your current or former bank as part of formal/informal reference checking if you advance.
Simply just don’t disclose it. I highly doubt that’ll come up and if it does just say you were wanted to switch banks for FT because of x and y? I got a return offer from my SA but FT’d at a different bank. I think I was asked maybe once? No one cares where you interned once you are FT
Normally if you register through a portal it’s a required yes/no orN/A question
