No Technical Knowledge for SA
Hi everyone. Was lucky enough to land an SA role at a top BB without studying for technicals and just watching a few YouTube videos and getting lucky. Is the training period at the beginning of summer comprehensive enough to skip studying technicals or would that just put me at a huge disadvantage?
Lmao this is me. I’m an incoming SA as well and managed to network my way through my interviews and I really don’t have a solid grip on the technicals. I borrowed WSP from a friend but any other tips would be helpful.
I’m in the same position. Most of the analysts I’ve spoken to have told me that I do really need to do that much preparation since the training period is really informative. Some have recommended that I do a little prep tho.
the excel lessons banks give are pretty useful but would suggest to brush up excel AND PPT (more emphasis on ppt)
btw if you were talking about finance technicals and knowledge then no i wouldnt really worry since itll be taught anyways, but wouldnt hurt reading invsetment banking by rosenbaum, it shouldnt take too long
