Other recruiting opps outside of school like BCF etc
Hi, I have a friend that recently attended BCF (Boston Career Forum). I was really impressed by all the companies that were there but Japanese fluency is preferable for that forum. It got me thinking - are there other opps outside of school like BCF which graduates and current students can attend? I go to a target school so I have access to the majority of recruiters I am interested in, but always looking for more opps - and it's great to get them all in one place at one time like BCF.
Yes BCF is a great event, very hectic though. I was assisting a BB there (i'm an undergrad, just as a student helper) and the head of Japan IBD and the head of Japan equities was there doing screening/informational interviews and final round interviews. It's a good event to go to if you have at least conversational Japanese and would like to continue to improve your Japanese language abilities in the future.
Putz, I got an appointment for a BB interview before the forum, I'm not japanese but I'm perfectly fluent in both Japanese and English. anyways, I had a 30 min interview with a single director and then that was it. They told me to wait until they contacted me, and few days ago HR told me they're still finalizing things so I'd just have to wait till they contacted me.
THings are not looking good eh?

My friends from school attended the event and received a few SA offers. They were also invited to dinner receptions.
analysts218, as far as I know top candidates have 3 interviews scheduled on the same day and receive a dinner invitation. (GS, MS, JPM)
