Perfect scores and lost
I am a incoming senior at a non-target school, 4.0 GPA, and an officer in one organization. However, Its difficult to find a job, even with these credentials. This summer I am looking to work 2 internships. One at Northwestern Mutual, and one at a private wealth advisory practice.
I am not huge into IB. I won't ever work 80-100 hours a week and live that lifestyle. I like the more entrepreneurship-like route. PE, M&A, VC, Start-ups, PWM, etc. I picked finance to have as a strong background for business.
Work in any of these fields sounds amazing. I was lucky enough to get an interview for a private equity internship, but did not advance. It felt like a gift from god, however in. my current situation I feel like there is no hope. I may have to make the best of these two internships (which I will).
How do I leverage what I have to get what I want?
