Quitting internship early
Hey everyone, I am a junior studying Finance. I got an internship that is scheduled from January to August. The job is great experience (budgeting, forecasting, project management, etc.), but it is pretty accounting heavy in the manufacturing industry. I accepted the position because it was the best offer at the time. I applied through my school's career center and I am receiving credit for it. I was recently contacted for an interview for a summer analyst with Wells Fargo, so a job that's a little more aligned with my future goals. If I get a job offer from Wells Fargo, what are your opinions on me leaving for Wells Fargo? My current thoughts are to stay until late May so I can receive credit for the internship, do the letter of resignation, etc., and then do the WF internship (it starts in June). What are some implications in looking at? ive heard horror stories about being blacklisted from companies, access to your school's career center, not being able to list the company on your resume, etc. thoughts?
