Random background check…
Hey guys, I’m enjoying my day, and get a call from a buddy at a previous job asking, “contemplating a new gig? Just got a call asking to verify you work history. From Goodhire.” Ok, so I have no idea what this is about. I am in talks with a company, but literally JUST spoke with the HR team and awaiting a call to speak to the MD. Is this a thing? Like how do I handle this? I really have no idea who initiated the background check, but I certainly am interested. I have been applying to a couple places, but literally in talks with only 1 firm.
