Really Just Want to Learn and Have Work Experience

I go to the big 4 CS school (MIT, Stanford, CMU, Berkeley) and the biggest issue is I am a freshman. While I know its nearly impossible for freshman to get internships, the biggest issue I am facing is trying to get an interview. While I have cold emailed and actually some of the people I emailed responded, the problem I am facing is that they all say wait till sophomore or junior year to apply. While I would love to do that but many of the quant trading places I want to apply really like experience and I am a bit at odds. I applied for IBD (only got responses for insight freshman programs), SWE (none) and quant trading (none). I am not entirely sure what else to do since I am not even doing this for the money, I just want to learn more, like I create projects and things but working at a place is a big difference. Any advice would be appreciated! I also noticed that some people especially at my university have freshman internships at hedge funds, tech unicorns and other places and would love to know how. Even students without USACO or USAMO experience.
