Recruiting while Laid Off
Does anyone have experience recruiting while after being laid off? I was laid off as an IB analyst, but my firm is letting me say I'm working there till the end of March (without pay)
Should I come clean in my current interview processes or continue to say I'm still actively employed. I have strong references that will say I'm still working there, but in case the firm does an informal channel check it may come up. Or possibly even after I start the job

Sounds like the layoff wasnt performance related. In that case, just be honest if it comes up. You are still technically employed. No need to go out of your way explaining your situation. Good luck with recruiting, ive been there before.

God, I love being a Kraut, we get three months notice, and our contracts literally cannot go over 40h "official" work. Meaning you can just put in your 9-5 for 3 months and otherwise chill/recruit/get laid. Can it get more amazing?
We make a lot more money than you and will be retired early. Have fun with your work/life balance until you're 65 LOL
