Reference Letter question

Two summers ago, I interned at a wealth management/financial services firm, HPM Partners, who were owned 51% by Emigrant Bank. Since then, Emigrant Bank sold its majority share to Lightyear Capital and changed its name to Cerity Partners. This summer I am interested in applying to an internship offered by Emigrant Bank. Is it appropriate to ask my supervisor at what is now Cerity Partners to write a reference letter to Emigrant Bank?
