Regarding Fall Recruiting for Recent Graduate

Hi guys,

So I just recently graduated from a target (think Columbia, Penn, Dartmouth) with a GPA of 3.64 in Financial Economics. I would like to put it out there that I am not interested in IB but am instead interested in the credit risk/ analysis and corporate treasury/ finance fields. I am very interested in working as an Associate Analyst at one of the big 3 credit rating agencies or a corporate treasury/ finance role at a large organization (F500). I was able to get interviews for S&P and Fitch during my senior year via fall OCR but was not able to do well in them due to severe interview nerves and anxiety due to personal issues. This is unfortunate because it is only until recently, I have learned how to control my interview nerves after failing many times when there don't seem to be as many entry level credit analysis or corporate treasury opportunities.

Because many people always tell me that I should always be working (avoiding a job gap on my resume) in order to maximize my chances for a FT job, I started in June in a temp position (lasts until October and may lead to a FT position but I am not interested in operations...) within the Private Banking Operations department at Morgan Stanley, where I assist with the origination and booking of securities-based loans as well as the processing, metrics, and reporting of debit card operations. I took this job in order to show that I have been working in the summer before the credit analyst/ corporate treasury positions populate in the fall semester (Although I know the job does not have much relevance..)

So this is my main question: Are recent graduates allowed to apply to the MO FT analyst programs at BB banks, Associate Analyst positions at CRAs, or at F500 FLDP programs? Or would I have to just apply via online job postings on Indeed/ my school's career site? How should I go about approaching the job search in the fall semester in the most efficient way?

Thank you! I really appreciate your help!

bump.

I know most of you guys are only interested in IB, but if anyone is currently/ or has experience working at a top 3 CRA or corporate treasury in a bank provide some advice.

And are recent graduates allowed to apply to FT Analyst programs in the fall?

Thanks!
