Rejection coming my way?

Hi, I had a final interview with the department head last Wednesday and he said I would hear back next week (which is this week) because he was gonna interview the last candidate on Monday. Two days ago I got a call from the partner recruiter saying the HR would be in contact with me shortly. She is the one who scheduled all my interviews, but never interviewed me. She didn't tell me what it was for and I also forgot to ask. I haven't received any calls nor emails since then. Was the recruiter trying to hint that I was rejected? Oh and before she told me all this she asked me to confirm my first name and last name (I'm Asian so the naming convention is a bit different - she has always called me by my last name up to that point) and I don't know what to make out of it. I'm not keeping my hopes up though, I'm still applying to other companies. But I just couldn't help speculating because I really really want this role. Thanks!
