Rescinding an offer
After getting a new offer am I supposed to tell my new employer that I have to rescind another one to join them? / Should I have mention it during the interview process?

You don't have to tell your knew employer anything. Just rescind the first offer. You haven't work there yet so don't owe them anything unless it's stated in your contract
