Will my BB offer be rescinded

Alright, so I recently accepted a SA offer from a BB in NY. Unfortunately, the thought of going through a background check is bothering me a little. I had listed on my resume that I am minoring in Econ, but realized after submitting my applications that my state school does not offer an official minor in Econ for non-business majors. Instead, it offers a "certificate" in Econ and certain other subjects. A certificate is effectively the same thing as a minor and both require taking 5 classes in the subject. The difference could be thought of as semantic but could the situation be seen as a misrepresentation of information? To reiterate, I have taken classes in Econ and am well on course for completing a certificate in the subject.

I've heard of ppl dropping secondary majors and minors/changing majors after accepting offers and still being fine. How is this a more significant thing?

I've switched as well and no problem. This is insignificant, don't worry about it.

dont listen to these people. U are going to be fine. This is not that big of an issue. Its not illegal to switch ur major.

Well look what you've done... Now you are likely going to get hunted down and assassinated because of your mistake, the bank will likely send out its top associates to find you and interrogate you as to why you felt the need to manipulate them in this manner. Hopefully you live to tell the tale. Good luck OP.

I am also a bit anxious about this as someone who has just accepted a SA position. I was wondering if it was an issue I realized I had the wrong start date for a part time job that I never discussed in interviews and I just had to make extra money. I wrote 2018 instead of 2019, it was an honest mistake and I truly thought I started in 2018. Is it worth calling HR ?

It's like third down my resume out of four experiences I have on there (not finance related at all) and is the only place they could really confirm I've worked at which is why idk if it'll come up in backgrounds for SA at a BB it was an honest mistake and I was thinking if I just told HR now it would be better

They accept people for banking from virtually any type of background. You don't need to have formal finance/economics courses to be successful. I doubt this would be a deal breaker. Bankers position businesses they work with creatively to shine the best light. You're positioning yourself accordingly.

Damn. Looks like you made an account named "You've lost it" just for the purpose of commenting on this thread "You've lost it". Really appreciate the dedication honestly.
