Resume for Finance Internship - Sophomore Summer
I currently have an internship at a government agency, and I am dealing almost exclusively with information that has yet to go public. Because of this, I am not allowed to talk about it with anyone outside of the office.
I am also preparing resume/cover letter to submit for finance (non-IB) summer internships. Because of the sensitive nature of the work, I don't have any specifics about the work I am doing/have done at this internship. Is this a bad thing and, if it is, (how) should I note that I am not allowed to talk about the stuff?

Lots of people deal with private information in their internships or jobs. What you could do is list the skills you obtained (researched confidential information, analyzed data in excel and VBA, prepared powerpoint presentation for internal meetings) without giving anything away. If people want you to elaborate, you could make it clear that the specifics of your work are confidential.

I'm trying to update my resume for some of the deals that I have worked on. They are strictly confidential.
I suppose I could do a general description of proposed deal value, a broad description of the players involved etc. without giving away anything. Do you guys think this would be good?
What is the best way to go about doing this? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

the general industry, rough size, and what side you were on, and then focus on size.
For example:
Ongoing Sellside. Sole advisor to a $10bn widget manufacturer.

use project names - easiest way to describe on resume is saying something like: project iceberg - LBO of a manufacturing company

If I worked for a investment bank as an intern that was helping a PE firm (say Summit) buy or sell a company, and I was to interview with Summit for FT, is it ok for me to talk about the deal even if it hasn't been announced? (The actual company wasn't Summit, but just an example)
It's only ok to speak about a confidential deal in those circumstances with someone on the deal team. So, if you interview with someone involved in the deal, then yes you can discuss, because you would be able to discuss the deal with them anyway.
If someone there brings up confidential information first, you can discuss that information with them, just don't reveal anything else if they aren't specifically on the deal team. Look at your team list to figure this out if you like.

Guys, I'm applying for an associate position out of an MBA program. Our career center doesn't know squat when it comes to I-banking & PE, so I need help.
After interning at a MM I-bank, a couple of the deals I worked on are either still in the works or have not been publicly announced. Therefore, I am unable to put amounts on the transactions.
What should I do if I am unable to put deal values?
Currently I have it set like this:

I put "~$200M sale of..." - figured that gave them a ballpark without announcing the real figure.
