Return Offer
What are some things an intern might do that could jeopardize their chances at a return offer (given firm isn’t super cutthroat)
Can it be minor mistakes or does it have to be a bad fuckup?

Big one is cultural fit.
Ultimately, the way the decisions are made is your intern manager will call all of the analysts and talk about each intern. If you don’t vibe well with everyone you’re going to get cut.
Of course work quality, drive, etc. all have their own weights but this one is commonly not mentioned.
vibe well with everyone as in most ppl know like you and some ppl are neutral or every single person has to vouch for you
Post ppl won’t have an opinion but you need to be on good terms with literally everyone and then have a couple people really want you.
what are some things an intern could do to make a full timer not like them
What makes you not like someone? Why would that be any different if you were two years older on the desk?
Remember with reviews that one or two standout reviews could swing it either way. In general, most reviewers have a lot going on, and if an intern has been "Good", they'll say something like that. If the intern really differentiated themself one way or the other, the reviewer might write a comment that really stands out, and those tend to be (because we're all human) the thing that the staffer / intern manager / HR remembers.
Honestly, right now, the four interns in my team are all fine. They're good, smart, and none of them have done anything to give me much ammunition to write something one way or the other. The staffer / intern manager / HR will have a hard time making any conclusion about my reviews today, and will probably disregard it.
What would make your intern stand out? Just curious ab the little things ppl might forget ab?
