RIP Resume
I am a senior at a target school majoring in STEM fields. I have strong and relevant experiences that can be applied to finance. As right now it is recruiting season I sent out a bunch of applications. I had my resume screened by multiple people, including my school systems, career coach, friends, and family.
Yesterday I found out my resume had two typos: I misspelled Activities as Activiteis and through as though. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how to resolve this situation. Should I reapply, withdraw, or anything else? I have met with people from GS, BLK, JP, and others and none of them ever mentioned my errors.
I am thinking about telling HR I have an updated resume. I am working part time right now for a mid level firm and the resumes I sent out did not contain that info.
Hey Math-Monkey-51, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I am sad to say, but this thread is lonely, so thought I'd post in here to try and help out. Some potential topics that might help:
Hope that helps.
Before sending out an updated resume, have a friend review it and someone else you trust in addition to your own review.
Minor errors may be overlooked but misspellings and (since Bankers can be a stickler for this) formatting. Attention to detail is stressed for a reason.
Given that you have new experience to add, it wouldn't hurt to let HR know you have an updated resume reflecting that. Wouldn't necessarily expect them to respond to you or update on their side, but you never know.
if it were just the typo, i wouldn''t bring it up
