SA Internal Mobility

Hi WSO,

Long-time lurker on this site. This summer, I’m doing PWM at a BB (non-target student with a high GPA / strong extracurriculars) and have been toying with the idea of a career in S&T.

Has anyone successfully gone through internal mobility after their SA stint? Can anyone share some insight on the process? Would this kill my chances at a return offer in my own division?

Would re recruiting for S&T at other banks even be realistic coming from a junior year BB PWM internship?

These are some questions / concerns I currently have.

(I don’t want to pigeonhole myself if I don’t make this switch early into my career, but also grateful to have a job in this market).
