I am currently considering to go on a two year secondment in New York but I am a bit concerned about the cost of living in NY compared to Europe.
Can anyone tell me what kind of salary to expect as an experienced Due Diligence Manager at BIG4 in New York or alternatively San Francisco or Chicago?

From what I've heard, you don't really get much of a COL adjustment, so I'd avoid SF if I were you. Too much tech money floating around, and you'd spend 75% of your take-home just on rental.
NY if you want the NY experience, Chicago if you want to save a little more money while still getting to enjoy life in a major American city.
