Secondaries/Co-Investments to IB

I am currently an intern at GS AIMS / BX Strat Partners, working on secondary and co-investment deals. So far, I am enjoying the work, and the hours don't seem to be bad; however, down the line, I would like to work in Growth Equity/Venture Capital. My question is would it be possible to make such a move from this role, and if not, is there a way I can lateral to IB? For background, I go to a semi-target. Any insight is appreciated
