Seeking advice on how to respond to a cancelled interview
Good afternoon,
just looking for any insight here on if I should keep my hopes up not - received an opportunity to interview at a prestigious asset management firm. Set up the interview with the assistant and scheduled it for next week at a specific time. However, I noticed that within her email, calendar invite and career dashboard there was no update to what role I am interviewing for (I had applied to a few positions). She responded with the role but then also told me that the interview would have to be cancelled due to a conflict and they will get back to me. Normally, I’d think this was fine but a few months ago, a Dutch bank had done the same thing to me, canceled the interview saying we could reschedule and then let some automated email let me know a week later the position was filled. I sent back an email acknowledging the conflict and saying I’ll look out for an email w a new date and time to interview. Furthermore, should I reach out again next week? Should I just wait again til they maybe reach out? What do you guys think. This job search is really taking a toll man.
I understand that I could totally be overreacting. Just nervous to email again next week and be seen as irritating and lose a chance that way.
