Senior Operations Analyst BB vs Entry Level Consultant (Data)

I know we are all sick of seeing posts about exit opps to move to FO, S&T, and IB but I am in a pickle...

I currently have an offer from a BB as an Operations Analyst mainly working with derivative products. I know that exit opps to FO are slim but I believe that they would put me on more project based work and I would definitely be able to network and make a push whether it take 1 year or 5 years.

The other opportunity I have is with a large regional consulting firm as a Data Consultant. Being strictly programming, data mining, etc. Could this potentially set up exit opps to FO as a quant, trader, tech analysis/modeler?

I really enjoy the programming side of things but FO is the end goal. Would I be better off trying to push FO from BO at the BB Operations or go the Data Consultant route and network to getting a more technical FO position in a BB or boutique?

Any advice would be great as I have to make a decision rather quickly.
