Senior Seeking employment

I am behind on the job search and my efforts have obviously been extremely hampered by the pandemic. I have one interview scheduled for when work reopens but currently all my eggs are in that basket. I go to an elite academic institution , but it is not an IB target (known more for its medical school.)

Unfortunately, my work experience is also unrelated: construction labor/ management in summers and bussing tables during school. I am also a varsity athlete so I used those connections but am looking to expand my options.Obviously have been pursuing LinkedIn through connections and job searches. I am an economics major looking to get into the commodities industry , especially energy. I was curious if anyone had any advice moving forward , especially what to do in the meantime. Do I seek any certifications ?

Thanks for any feedback.
