Should I give up pursuing IB?

I am currently a sophomore at a semi-target school with a 3.5 gpa. I have maybe 2-3 legit connections in the field who work in New York, but with the increase in AI and how hard it is to already land a job in the field I’m wondering wether or not it’s worth continuing. This is 100% what I would like to do in future but if someone in who already works in IB could point whether where I’m at is even feasible in terms of landing a job that would be great. My other thought as of now would be switching my major from finance to risk management and going that avenue.
