Should i go forward or save this contact?

Hey guys,

So i have been on this site for a while, reading every tip that i can even tho many are irrelevant at the moment because I just finished freshman year. I began networking as my first step into finance, I have gotten a few solid contacts that I can just hold onto until after sophomore year. A family friend's friend said that he can put a word in at a boutique firm for an interview with the "president and partner" for an internship. I do not have any idea what the internship will consist of so its going to be difficult for myself to do research. I obviously also lack finance knowledge since I just finished my 1st year of college. I am worried that I will be asked several things in the interview that I most likely will not know. I attend a "semi-target" and have a 3.9 gpa.

I have a few questions. What do you guys think? Should I hold off and solidify this for next summer after sophomore year or will i end up embarrassing myself for lack of finance knowledge? Like i said I am not sure what kind of internship this will be, for all i know i could just be paranoid and i'll end up doing "grunt" work. How could i pitch in the interview that I am looking to learn from the bottom?

thanks in advance guys, any input will help.
