Should I include HR work experience in my CV?

I am applying to finance internship positions (I studied economics) and basically the only work experience I ever had was in HR. Will this actively work against me if I include it in my cv? I ask because maybe HR has a negative reputation.
So the question is: is it better to include it or not in my cv?
Personally I would employ someone with HR experience. I don't think that HR has a negative reputation, depends from what point of view you look at this.
People with HR background tend to have more skills when it comes to interact with others and this it's a plus no matter how you view it. From my point of view personally you should include that in your CV, having some work experience ( good or bad ) at least you have it
