Should I stick with investing role? Or go to the corporate side ?

Currently in an analyst program at a very strong MM PE firm. I am wondering what are the pros and cons of staying in an investing seat whether that be private equity, credit, fund of funds etc vs going to corporate and looking at more strategic finance / corp dev type of role after the program ends. Would love to hear different perspectives
