Should I Transfer/Other Options

I am a second year economics major at UChicago with a 3.2 gpa planning on going into IB. I am very discouraged and not sure of what my options are right now. I don’t have a summer internship yet even after applying to several hundred in any kind of finance over the year and have pretty much used up any kind of networking relationships. I’m starting to panic about how this all could hurt me in getting an internship next year. I didn't have a relevant internship last summer. I’m also not in any finance-related clubs as they are all application-based here and my gpa makes me unable to secure a spot in any so I also can’t leverage this in apps. I have met with advisors and updated my resume/CL dozens of times. My job search is using most of my time so my grades are likely to go down after finals because of this. Summer hiring is basically over and I don’t know what else there is to do. Am I screwed yet or is there something I can do to improve my long-term prospects short of transferring to a less rigorous school and restarting my GPA? Would transferring likely be beneficial or hurtful? Could a gap year help somehow? I am open to any sort of advice, thank you
