Situation you may be able to learn from.
I was remembering this one moment when I was in college and there was on-campus recruiting for an analyst position with a large bank. There were some younger employees in the "holding" room kind of just sitting around, acting like they were waiting for something, but it was obvious they were there to observe and see what candidates were like before they got interviewed.
What was weird is that I remember them talking about things that were obviously wrong. For example, one guy said to a fellow employee "It's 4 o'clock, only a half hour left in the stock market today. This mistake seemed so obviously planned, waiting for a reaction from me.
Also, I introduced myself after their conversation was over, and they were asking me about partying, hom much her job sucked because of the hours, and other stuff that wasn't related to work.
How would you respond to this?
I am glad to know that banks have no resorted to openly insulting people with crappy lies and weak acting. I would ask them to stop the charade and see if they could give you some real advice.
yeah I have heard of this. Ridiculous how the recruiting process has become
Anthony how was the meet and greet with WB?
It was great. I sat two people down from him during lunch. An amazing experience.
I met Danny DeVito the day after Buffett. Pretty ridiculous weekend for me.
