Sophomore Summer Internship - Sopmore at Fordham University

I am a sophomore at Fordham University looking for a summer internship in the finance field. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find one? I've applied to Morgan, SocGen, and a few other firms (all through family connections), and they're just not running sophomore programs. My extra curriculars are: ■ President: Graduating Class of 2012, College of Business Administration ■ Executive Board Member: Vice President, Fair Trade / Microfinance Club ■ Ram’s Select Investment Club: Co-Founder and Energy Analyst ■ Varsity Member: Fordham Debate Society ■ Member: Finance Society

Last summer I interned in corporate finance - Dun & Bradstreet, doing internal audit. They have asked me back - potentially for investor relations - but I'd rather slit my wrists than spend another summer doing internal audits.

My GPA is the only thing that may hold me back: 3.08 (but I'm pulling 20 credit hours this semester to try and raise it).

Any ideas on where to look?

I posted this the other day. It's open to sophomores and juniors. You're gpa is definitely on the low side, the rest of your profile looks strong. Sophomore internships are extremely difficult to come by, but less rare in PWM. If Wall Street doesn't work out for you this summer, look to get finance, modeling experience doing something else, or look to do something where you can communicate the impact you had (attracted X new customers, created a new program that will accomplish Y, etc).
