Summer Internship at Charlotte, NC

Hi, all.

I recently accepted an internship from WF for the summer and I am planning on moving to Charlotte in early summer. I'm pretty clueless about the place.

I am 21 yrs old and currently live in New York City, I figured the Uptown area was the best bet in terms of a place to live: near the office and basically within walking distance of anything I could need on the day-to-day but the prices seem high.

- Where else do young professionals live in Charlotte?

- Is it worth the extra money to live in Uptown? What are the perks? Any less expensive apartments/developments?

I would be quite grateful for any help/insight you could provide.

Thanks!
