Surveillance Analyst Role Exits: pls help

Hi, I'm currently working as a surveillance analyst (first year) at a large stock exchange (think NYSE). I'm worried about the lack of exits from this job. Ideally, I'm looking for a career that has the ability to make high pay as you progress on the career path, hybrid work environment, and decent to low work-life balance (but not as bad as IBD). I want to switch into something within a year. Is it better for me to switch into something in tech? I'm willing to switch into something more grueling right now to create better exit opportunities for later. I was looking into potentially asset management as a career path, but I'm not sure how to make that transition.
