Switched

I've been in banking (Treasury/debt/capital issuance) for about 4/5yrs and few months ago i made a switch into Tech FP&A. Last year i was so convinced that i wanted to go into tech, but now im wondering whether i was just excited by how cool it sounded/pay.

Having done this fp&a role for a few months now, i just find myself dreading each day, have no motivation to do anything more than the bare minimum. The role is typical reporting/consolidation work with some ad-hoc projects. Dont see myself taking on roles of my manager/other colleagues. Not even excited by the company's mission /vision anymore.

In the back of my mind, i have been thinking if i should go into asset/portfolio management as i have a CFA and my roles in banking have been primarily market facing and i really miss that.

I think the rational thing to do would be to stay in tech FP&A at least for 1yr, but the thought of staying here for that long makes me quite miserable.

Anyone have any tips on how i should assess my dilemma? Gut feeling is that i should switch but not sure.
