Switching Industry
Hey Monkey,
Flying Monday-Thursday and pasting together last minute pitches isn't cutting it for me. I am looking to make the leap from consulting to real estate finance / private equity.
I am currently working in a RE coverage group at my firm, but without any actual exposure to the asset itself. The team is a little more technical heavy (BI, SAP, PropTechs) - so I have not had any hands on exposure to modeling / transactions.
Does anyone have any advice / success stories on navigating the leap from the "abstract" world of consulting job descriptions back in to finance?
TLDR: Considerring switching from consulting to an unrelated field to do something that has always interested me.
