The inbetween period between initial contact and first interview.

So I cold emailed and got an in person interview. “Problem” is that it is 3.5 weeks away due to their scheduling. Should I remain in contact with them the entire time over next 3 weeks? Not at all to avoid wasting their time? I think I’m gonna refrain from emailing for 2.5 weeks and then a couple days before send an email saying looking forward to seeing you Monday, or something like that.

WSO thoughts?

Congrats on landing the in person interview.

I too recently had this experience where I was asked to interview, but the interview wouldn't be for 3 weeks. I didn't reach out to them after the interview was set up, but their team reached out to me a couple of weeks prior to the interview to set things up.

Play it cool, and wait for them to contact you. The ball is in their court, and everything is according to their time.

I think you can send a message a week prior just as a confirmation. But anything other than that, I would hesitate to send. Just let the time pass and use the time to prep.
